MW4 PS4 Availability Explained
PS4 is absent from Modern Warfare 4 pre-order terms. Learn what that omission means and the limits of the next-entry no-PS4 announcement.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (MW4)
Do the pre-order terms list PS4?
The official Modern Warfare 4 pre-order terms list PlayStation 5 but do not list PS4. That omission alone does not establish an explicit PS4 exclusion.
The terms name Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Steam and Battle.net in connection with instant use of pre-order content in Black Ops 7 or Warzone.
What does the no-PS4 announcement establish?
The no-PS4 announcement concerned the series’ next entry, which was only expected to be Modern Warfare IV. That identification caveat prevents treating it as definitive title-specific confirmation.
The announcement described a release only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, excluding PS4 and Xbox One. It addressed rumors that the next entry would continue supporting those older consoles.
