MW4 Digital Stores and Access

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (MW4)

Where to buy digitally

The documented digital pre-order options are Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net and Steam.

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders were announced to open later in 2026. That announcement does not confirm that pre-orders have opened.

Xbox Play Anywhere access

Xbox Play Anywhere provides Xbox Series X|S and PC access through a single purchase from the Xbox Series X|S store or the Xbox store on PC.

This documented entitlement applies to those Xbox store purchases; it does not establish cross-store ownership for Steam, Battle.net or PlayStation purchases.

Digital Standard and Digital Vault contents

The digital editions are Standard and Vault. Digital Standard includes the full game, with open beta early access and the Hunter Operator Skin as pre-order benefits.

Digital Vault includes the digital game, open beta early access, the Hunter Operator Skin, the Hostile Alliance Operator Pack, the Special Forces Operator Pack, an exclusive weapon series, one season of BlackCell and a DMZ deployment reward.

Digital pre-order beta access

Digital pre-orders automatically receive open beta early access without a beta code.

Upgrading Digital Standard to Vault

Players who pre-order Digital Standard can upgrade to Vault later on the same platform where they originally purchased.

Physical pre-orders are excluded from this upgrade route. Vault is digital only.

When seasonal Vault benefits become accessible

BlackCell, the Battle Pass, Call of Duty Points and Tier Skips become accessible when the Season 1 Battle Pass is available in-game.

Redemption applies to one season of the Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass only.
